Living the Values_May 2014_pt2

I am very pleased and honored to announce our May’s co-winner for Living our Values blog contest. May’s value was relationships. If you remember we had fire dancers amaze us all on my last blog. I recommend you go back and watch that video because it is worth a second watch, or in my case, a 4th or 5th watch! But I was equally amazed at Amanda Sanor’s passion for making and sustaining relationships through her care and compassion. She provided an in-service on communication disorders to 3 of our customers’ facilities.   She did a great job educating on the identifying the early signs of communication disorders so treatment could be provider quicker leading to better outcomes. She did this for Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Damascus, OH, Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in East Palestine, OH and Bel-Air in Alliance, OH.  She made a creative poster display along with an innovative display using IPad with videos of common communication disorders that staff needed to identify as part of their quiz.  She held a drawing to thank the staff for participating and the winner received a Dairy Queen gift card!  One of our STNA’s, Mindy Zmuda, will be enjoying some free ice cream!  Great job Amanda on an awesome in-service! All three facilities have won a lunch on us for Amanda’s passion for building and maintaining great relationships through her dedication. She is truly making a difference.
