May isn’t quite over yet. So, it would be unfair for me to choose a “Living the Values” winner for this month before it June has arrived! But, I came across a video yesterday that blew me away. Because of this, I am choosing two winners in May! This video made me so proud that I’m making an early special selection.  John Monhollen, our CM at Tri-County Extended Care Center in Fairfield, OH, and Paul Nasiatka, our COTA, put together one of the funniest skits for the facility’s celebration of National Nursing Home Week.  They really put themselves out there and made themselves very vulnerable.  I believe that is a key for creating great relationships.  Showing humility and vulnerability goes an incredibly long way with people, not to mention making them laugh!!  How can you not love these guys for doing what they did to entertain our residents?  I am so proud to work alongside people who personify our values.  John and Paul have won themselves not only a free lunch for their department but my sincere gratitude and respect for how they create and maintain wonderful relationships at Tri-County Extended Care Center.  Keep sending in your examples of how we Live Our Values and I’ll share May’s winner in my June post.  Thanks for all you guys do to create and nurture relationships with residents, customers, and each other.  Have a wonderful start to summer!
